Boyful Noise.

I've been parenting for a quarter of a century! I've got the routine and flexible enough schedule down but there is no way to really control a family 'rewire' you just love the kid in front of you and do your best one scenario at a time until you collapse onto your pillow at night (for a little while anyway). God will never leave us.

Gates is having a 'one step back' day today. Hitting and scratching again after more than a week of not doing that. He's rocking himself again and he's throwing every toy he picks up. His older brother gently put him in 'time in' next to Mamma this morning for slugging him in the back. I was really glad Bridger didn't retaliate but kept his cool. I had to laugh seeing him hoist Gates phsyically into the 'time in' chair, then he would check the second hand on the clock in the kitchen calling out, "Okay Gates you have one more minute."

They are napping late today (long night) but I am not waking them up. No way. I'll take what I can get. Two little boys in a small house gets L O U D! Paul called to check in and he said, "What are they DOING?" I said, "Playing rock and roll guys!" (that's what B. calls it) they pretend a tennis racket and Gates's little pop up ball in the dome walking toy are guitars.
They were having fun together so I let it be. Noise is breath to little boys and they have to exhale sometimes! lol

Love, Karrie
